WKU Hilltoppers vs Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Recap - Hilltoppers Win 49-17
The battle between the Hilltoppers and Rainbow Warriors didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Hawaii was handed a 49-17 defeat on Sunday at Clarence T.C. Ching Complex.
WKU was the ATS victor, as they covered the -16.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 67.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
Kye Robichaux rushed for 49 yards, while Austin Reed added 43 yards in the win. Daewood Davis and Joshua Simon added 78 and 47 receiving yards respectively.
Nasjzae Bryant-Lelei rushed for 64 yards for Hawaii, while Dedrick Parson added 29 yards. Brayden Schager threw for 230 yards for the Rainbow Warriors, while receivers Jalen Walthall and Jonah Panoke had 53 and 32 yards respectively.
Hawaii was outgained by WKU 412-360 yards in Sunday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 24-20 by the Hilltoppers.
WKU lost the time of possession battle 34:15-25:45, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
WKU looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Indiana. Hawaii will aim to get back on the winning track at Michigan.
