Boilermakers vs Golden Gophers Final: 20-10 - Recap
Devin Mockobee tore up the turf for 112 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Boilermakers to a 20-10 win over the Golden Gophers at Huntington Bank Stadium.
Purdue won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +8.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 53.5.
Devin Mockobee rushed for 112 yards, while Dylan Downing added 32 yards in the win. Charlie Jones and Deion Burks added 55 and 35 receiving yards respectively.
Bryce Williams rushed for 35 yards for Minnesota, while Trey Potts added 13 yards. Tanner Morgan threw for 257 yards for the Golden Gophers, while receivers Daniel Jackson and Michael Brown-Stephens had 110 and 53 yards respectively.
Minnesota lost the offensive yardage battle to Purdue 359-304 yards in Saturday's game. Purdue had more first downs as that total ended up 18-14.
Minnesota lost the time of possession battle 32:22-27:38, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Purdue looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Maryland. Minnesota will aim to get back on the winning track at Illinois.
