Eagles vs Minutemen Final: 20-13 - Recap
Eastern Michigan got a 122-yard performance from Samson Evans as a key part of its 20-13 victory over the Minutemen on Saturday at Rynearson Stadium.
The Eagles earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -19.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 53.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Samson Evans rushed for 122 yards, while Jaylon Jackson added 60 yards in the win. Tanner Knue and Jaylon Jackson added 72 and 26 receiving yards respectively.
Gino Campiotti rushed for 118 yards for Massachusetts, while Kay'Ron Adams added 37 yards. Gino Campiotti threw for 87 yards for the Minutemen, while receivers George Johnson III and Cam Sullivan-Brown had 66 and 10 yards respectively.
Massachusetts lost the offensive yardage battle to Eastern Michigan 339-255 yards in Saturday's game. Eastern Michigan had more first downs as that total ended up 22-15.
The time of possession battle favored Massachusetts as their offense was on the field for 31:38, longer than the 28:22 of their opponents.
Eastern Michigan heads into a Week 6 battle against Western Michigan. Massachusetts, meanwhile, will have their next action against Liberty.
