Purdue Defeats Nebraska 43-37 - Recap

Aidan O'Connell sliced and diced the Cornhuskers defense for 391 yards as Purdue handed Nebraska a 43-37 defeat on Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium.

The Boilermakers won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -14.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Aidan O'Connell completed 35 of 54 pass attempts for 391 yards for the Boilermakers in the win.

Trey Palmer rushed for 60 yards for Nebraska, while Anthony Grant added 35 yards. Casey Thompson threw for 354 yards for the Cornhuskers, while receivers Trey Palmer and Oliver Martin had 237 and 45 yards respectively.

Nebraska lost the offensive yardage battle to Purdue 608-476 yards in Saturday's game. Purdue had more first downs as that total ended up 38-15.

Purdue led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 42:42-17:18 split in that important category.

Purdue heads into a Week 8 battle against Wisconsin. Nebraska, meanwhile, will have their next action against Illinois.
