Boilermakers Fall 24-3 Against Iowa - Game Recap

Kaleb Johnson scampered through the Purdue defense for 200 yards as Iowa handed the Boilermakers a 24-3 defeat on Saturday at Ross-Ade Stadium.

The Hawkeyes were a +3.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 39.5.

Kaleb Johnson rushed for 200 yards, while Jaziun Patterson added 4 yards in the win. Sam LaPorta and Nico Ragaini added 71 and 56 receiving yards respectively.

Devin Mockobee rushed for 65 yards for Purdue, while Dylan Downing added 35 yards. Aidan O'Connell threw for 168 yards for the Boilermakers, while receivers Charlie Jones and Payne Durham had 104 and 35 yards respectively.

Purdue was outgained by Iowa 376-255 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 17-15 by the Boilermakers.

The time of possession battle favored Purdue as their offense was on the field for 31:58, longer than the 28:02 of their opponents.

Iowa heads into a 11 battle against Wisconsin. Purdue, meanwhile, will have their next action against Illinois.
