UCF Defeats SMU 41-19 - Recap
John Rhys Plumlee was good for 316 yards through the air on Wednesday as the Knights got past the Mustangs by a score of 41-19 at FBC Mortgage Stadium.
UCF was the ATS victor, as they covered the -3.0-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 65.0 were rewarded at the payout window.
John Rhys Plumlee completed 20 of 29 pass attempts for 316 yards for the Knights in the win.
Velton Gardner rushed for 69 yards for SMU, while Tre Siggers added 29 yards. Tanner Mordecai threw for 295 yards for the Mustangs, while receivers Rashee Rice and Austin Upshaw had 122 and 51 yards respectively.
SMU lost the offensive yardage battle to UCF 484-476 yards in Wednesday's game. SMU had more first downs as that total ended up 26-20.
SMU lost the time of possession battle 33:46-26:14, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
UCF heads into a Week 7 battle against Temple. SMU, meanwhile, will have their next action against Navy.
