Eagles Fall 23-10 Against Marshall - Game Recap

The Eagles came up short against the Thundering Herd in Week 12 action on Saturday, falling 23-10 at Allen E. Paulson Stadium.

Marshall was the ATS victor, as they covered the -5.5-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 52.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Rasheen Ali rushed for 79 yards, while Khalan Laborn added 70 yards in the win. EJ Horton and Shadeed Ahmed added 76 and 45 receiving yards respectively.

Jalen White rushed for 143 yards for Georgia Southern, while OJ Arnold added 50 yards. Kyle Vantrease threw for 205 yards for the Eagles, while receivers Jeremy Singleton and Khaleb Hood had 73 and 40 yards respectively.

Georgia Southern lost the offensive yardage battle to Marshall 529-384 yards in Saturday's game. Marshall had more first downs as that total ended up 29-20.

Georgia Southern lost the time of possession battle 36:54-23:06, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Marshall looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Georgia State. Georgia Southern will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Appalachian State.
