Blazers Fall 28-24 Against Rice - Game Recap
The Blazers came up short against the Owls in Week 5 action on Saturday, falling 28-24 at Rice Stadium.
Bettors who backed the Owls were also rewarded, as they covered the closing number as an underdog of +10.5 at sportsbooks. Over-Under bettors saw the total score go OVER the closing total of 51.0.
Cameron Montgomery rushed for 34 yards, while Ari Broussard added 32 yards in the win. Luke McCaffrey and Bradley Rozner added 38 and 34 receiving yards respectively.
DeWayne McBride rushed for 121 yards for UAB, while Jermaine Brown Jr. added 17 yards. Dylan Hopkins threw for 231 yards for the Blazers, while receivers Tejhaun Palmer and Trea Shropshire had 82 and 65 yards respectively.
Rice lost the offensive yardage battle to UAB 360-209 yards in Saturday's game. UAB had more first downs as that total ended up 24-14.
Rice looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Florida Atlantic. UAB will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Middle Tennessee.
