Stanford Cardinal vs USC Trojans Wrap - USC Wins 56-10

Stanford couldn't hang with the Trojans on Saturday as USC blasted the Cardinal 56-10 in Week 2 action at United Airlines Field at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

USC won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -28.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 69.5.

MarShawn Lloyd rushed for 77 yards, while Austin Jones added 33 yards in the win. Brenden Rice and Tahj Washington added 75 and 73 receiving yards respectively.

Casey Filkins rushed for 63 yards for Stanford, while E.J. Smith added 50 yards. Ashton Daniels threw for 19 yards for the Cardinal, while receivers Benjamin Yurosek and John Humphreys had 54 and 42 yards respectively.

USC outgained Stanford 573-349 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 27-19 by the Trojans.

The time of possession battle favored Stanford as their offense was on the field for 32:08, longer than the 27:52 of their opponents.

USC looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Arizona State. Stanford will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Sacramento State.
