Georgia Tech Defeats Wake Forest 30-16 - Recap

The Yellow Jackets grabbed a Week 4 victory over the Demon Deacons on Saturday, winning 30-16 at Allegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium.

Georgia Tech won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +3.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 58.5.

Jamal Haynes rushed for 95 yards, while Haynes King added 53 yards in the win. Eric Singleton Jr. and Abdul Janneh added 50 and 47 receiving yards respectively.

Justice Ellison rushed for 137 yards for Wake Forest, while Mitch Griffis added 43 yards. Mitch Griffis threw for 162 yards for the Demon Deacons, while receivers Taylor Morin and Jahmal Banks had 63 and 53 yards respectively.

Wake Forest outgained Georgia Tech 386-380 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 29-13 by the Demon Deacons.

Georgia Tech lost the time of possession battle 31:59-28:01, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Georgia Tech looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Bowling Green. Wake Forest will aim to get back on the winning track at Clemson.
