UAB Falls 35-23 to Green Wave - Recap

Tulane got a 123-yard performance from Makhi Hughes as a key part of its 35-23 victory over the Blazers on Saturday at Benson Field at Yulman Stadium.

The Green Wave won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -22.5-point spread. UNDER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an UNDER play.

Makhi Hughes rushed for 123 yards, while Michael Pratt added 40 yards in the win. Lawrence Keys III and Chris Brazzell II added 54 and 49 receiving yards respectively.

Isaiah Jacobs rushed for 95 yards for UAB, while Jermaine Brown Jr. added 48 yards. Fred Farrier II threw for 28 yards for the Blazers, while receivers Amare Thomas and Tejhaun Palmer had 99 and 46 yards respectively.

UAB was outgained by Tulane 448-434 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 25-24 by the Blazers.

The time of possession battle favored UAB as their offense was on the field for 30:05, longer than the 29:55 of their opponents.

Tulane heads into a Week 7 battle against Memphis. UAB, meanwhile, will have their next action against USF.
