Recap - Rebels Defeat Hawaii 44-20

The battle between the Rebels and Rainbow Warriors didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Hawaii was handed a 44-20 defeat on Saturday at Allegiant Stadium.

UNLV won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -10.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 57.5.

Donavyn Lester rushed for 98 yards, while Jai'Den Thomas added 62 yards in the win. Ricky White and Senika McKie added 56 and 28 receiving yards respectively.

Tylan Hines rushed for 43 yards for Hawaii, while Jordan Johnson added 33 yards. Brayden Schager threw for 313 yards for the Rainbow Warriors, while receivers Steven McBride and Alex Perry had 180 and 38 yards respectively.

Hawaii lost the offensive yardage battle to UNLV 449-359 yards in Saturday's game. UNLV had more first downs as that total ended up 27-20.

The time of possession battle favored UNLV as their offense was on the field for 34:15, longer than the 25:45 of their opponents.

UNLV looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Nevada. Hawaii will aim to get back on the winning track vs. San Diego State.
