Wyoming Defeats New Mexico 35-26 - Recap

Wyoming got a 191-yard performance from Harrison Waylee as a key part of its 35-26 victory over the Lobos on Saturday at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium.

The Cowboys earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the -14.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 40.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.

Harrison Waylee rushed for 191 yards, while Andrew Peasley added 34 yards in the win. Ayir Asante and John Michael Gyllenborg added 72 and 25 receiving yards respectively.

Jacory Croskey-Merritt rushed for 92 yards for New Mexico, while Devon Dampier added 71 yards. Devon Dampier threw for 41 yards for the Lobos, while receivers Ryan Davis and Jeremiah Hixon had 59 and 49 yards respectively.

New Mexico lost the offensive yardage battle to Wyoming 433-417 yards in Saturday's game. New Mexico had more first downs as that total ended up 25-18.

Wyoming lost the time of possession battle 31:13-28:47, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Wyoming looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Fresno State. New Mexico will aim to get back on the winning track vs. San Jose State.
