Golden Flashes Fall 28-14 Against Eastern Michigan - Game Recap

The Golden Flashes came up short against the Eagles in Week 7 action on Saturday, falling 28-14 at Rynearson Stadium.

Eastern Michigan won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -7.0-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 40.0.

Samson Evans rushed for 47 yards, while Jaylon Jackson added 43 yards in the win. Tanner Knue and Hamze El-Zayat added 85 and 29 receiving yards respectively.

Jaylen Thomas rushed for 94 yards for Kent State, while Gavin Garcia added 37 yards. Tommy Ulatowski threw for 169 yards for the Golden Flashes, while receivers Chrishon McCray and Luke Floriea had 70 and 63 yards respectively.

Eastern Michigan lost the offensive yardage battle to Kent State 343-218 yards in Saturday's game. Kent State had more first downs as that total ended up 17-14.

Kent State led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:28-29:32 split in that important category.

Next game, Eastern Michigan takes its act on the road to face NIU looking for another win. For Kent State, they head home to face Buffalo.
