Boilermakers Fall 31-14 Against Nebraska - Game Recap

The Cornhuskers grabbed a Week 9 victory over the Boilermakers on Saturday, winning 31-14 at Tom Osborne Field at Memorial Stadium.

Nebraska won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +1.5-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 39.5.

Emmett Johnson rushed for 76 yards, while Heinrich Haarberg added 22 yards in the win. Jaylen Lloyd and Joshua Fleeks added 73 and 24 receiving yards respectively.

Devin Mockobee rushed for 42 yards for Purdue, while Tyrone Tracy Jr. added 29 yards. Hudson Card threw for 100 yards for the Boilermakers, while receivers Jayden Dixon-Veal and TJ Sheffield had 38 and 28 yards respectively.

Purdue lost the offensive yardage battle to Nebraska 277-195 yards in Saturday's game. Nebraska had more first downs as that total ended up 14-10.

The time of possession battle favored Nebraska as their offense was on the field for 33:10, longer than the 26:50 of their opponents.

Nebraska looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Michigan State. Purdue will aim to get back on the winning track at Michigan.
