Georgia Tech Defeats Virginia 45-17 - Recap

Jamal Haynes tore up the turf for 119 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 45-17 win over the Cavaliers at David A. Harrison III Field at Scott Stadium.

Jamal Haynes rushed for 119 yards, while Haynes King added 83 yards in the win. Eric Singleton Jr. and Dontae Smith added 80 and 35 receiving yards respectively.

Anthony Colandrea rushed for 33 yards for Virginia, while Kobe Pace added 26 yards. Anthony Colandrea threw for 200 yards for the Cavaliers, while receivers Malik Washington and Malachi Fields had 109 and 65 yards respectively.

Virginia lost the offensive yardage battle to Georgia Tech 514-351 yards in Saturday's game. Georgia Tech had more first downs as that total ended up 29-23.

Virginia lost the time of possession battle 34:09-25:51, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Georgia Tech looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against Clemson. Virginia will aim to get back on the winning track at Louisville.
