New Mexico State Defeats WKU 38-29 - Recap

The Aggies were Week 11 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Hilltoppers by a score of 38-29 at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium.

The Aggies were a +4.5-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 54.0.

Star Thomas rushed for 85 yards, while Jamoni Jones added 50 yards in the win. Jonathan Brady and Trent Hudson added 31 and 23 receiving yards respectively.

Elijah Young rushed for 80 yards for WKU, while Markese Stepp added 34 yards. Austin Reed threw for 270 yards for the Hilltoppers, while receivers Elijah Young and Malachi Corley had 84 and 78 yards respectively.

New Mexico State lost the offensive yardage battle to WKU 437-361 yards in Saturday's game. WKU had more first downs as that total ended up 26-20.

The time of possession battle favored New Mexico State as their offense was on the field for 32:55, longer than the 23:30 of their opponents.

New Mexico State heads into a 12 battle against Auburn. WKU, meanwhile, will have their next action against Sam Houston State.
