Blazers Fall 31-6 Against Navy - Game Recap
The Blazers had no answer for Xavier Arline on Saturday as the Midshipmen rolled to a 31-6 win at Jack Stephens Field at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
The Midshipmen were a +3.0-point underdog in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 51.0.
Xavier Arline rushed for 109 yards, while Alex Tecza added 82 yards in the win. Regis Velez and Eli Heidenreich added 45 and 26 receiving yards respectively.
Jermaine Brown Jr. rushed for 55 yards for UAB, while Lee Beebe added 43 yards. Jacob Zeno threw for 206 yards for the Blazers, while receivers Bryce Damous and Dallas Payne had 42 and 41 yards respectively.
UAB lost the offensive yardage battle to Navy 363-321 yards in Saturday's game. UAB had more first downs as that total ended up 19-16.
Navy led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:15-26:45 split in that important category.
Navy looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against East Carolina. UAB will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Temple.
