Washington State Defeats Stanford 42-16 - Recap

Luke Falk sliced and diced the Cardinal defense for 357 yards as Washington State handed Stanford a 42-16 defeat on Saturday at Stanford Stadium.

Washington State was the ATS victor, as they covered the +7.5-point spread as an underdog. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 55.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Luke Falk completed 30 of 41 pass attempts for 357 yards for the Cougars in the win.

Christian McCaffrey rushed for 35 yards for Stanford, while Keller Chryst added 18 yards. Ryan Burns threw for 222 yards for the Cardinal, while receivers Michael Rector and JJ Arcega-Whiteside had 90 and 68 yards respectively.

Washington State outgained Stanford 458-296 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 21-16 by the Cougars.

Stanford lost the time of possession battle 30:48-29:12, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Washington State looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against UCLA. Stanford will aim to get back on the winning track at Notre Dame.
