Oklahoma Defeats Kansas State 38-17 - Recap

Baker Mayfield sliced and diced the Wildcats defense for 346 yards as Oklahoma handed Kansas State a 38-17 defeat on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

Oklahoma was a favorite by -13.5 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 57.5.

Baker Mayfield completed 25 of 31 pass attempts for 346 yards for the Sooners in the win.

Jesse Ertz rushed for 40 yards for Kansas State, while Justin Silmon added 35 yards. Joe Hubener threw for 157 yards for the Wildcats, while receivers Dominique Heath and Byron Pringle had 101 and 43 yards respectively.

Kansas State lost the offensive yardage battle to Oklahoma 510-335 yards in Saturday's game. Oklahoma had more first downs as that total ended up 24-19.

Oklahoma lost the time of possession battle 30:58-29:02, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Oklahoma takes its act on the road to face Texas Tech looking for another win. For Kansas State, they head home to face Texas.
