USC Defeats Stanford 42-24 - Recap

Sam Darnold was good for 316 yards through the air on Saturday as the Trojans got past the Cardinal by a score of 42-24 at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

USC was the ATS victor, as they covered the -4.0-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 55.0 were rewarded at the payout window.

Sam Darnold completed 21 of 26 pass attempts for 316 yards for the Trojans in the win.

Bryce Love rushed for 160 yards for Stanford, while Cameron Scarlett added 14 yards. Keller Chryst threw for 172 yards for the Cardinal, while receivers JJ Arcega-Whiteside and Connor Wedington had 67 and 29 yards respectively.

Stanford was outgained by USC 623-342 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 28-16 by the Trojans.

Stanford lost the time of possession battle 34:35-25:25, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, USC takes its act home to face Texas looking for another win. For Stanford, they head on the road to face San Diego State.
