Recap - Tigers Defeat South Alabama 52-35

Darrell Henderson ran for 188 yards as Memphis handled South Alabama by a score of 52-35 on Saturday at Liberty Bowl.

Darrell Henderson rushed for 188 yards, while Patrick Taylor Jr. added 75 yards in the win. Damonte Coxie and John Williams added 113 and 65 receiving yards respectively.

Tra Minter rushed for 35 yards for South Alabama, while Kawaan Baker added 33 yards. Evan Orth threw for 360 yards for the Jaguars, while receivers Jamarius Way and Jahmmir Taylor had 185 and 72 yards respectively.

South Alabama was outgained by Memphis 563-467 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 31-19 by the Tigers.

South Alabama lost the time of possession battle 31:31-28:29, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Memphis heads into a Week 5 battle against Tulane. South Alabama, meanwhile, will have their next action against Appalachian State.
