Massachusetts Defeats Liberty 62-59 - Recap

Ross Comis led the way with 540 passing yards on Saturday as the Minutemen picked up a 62-59 victory over the Flames at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium.

Massachusetts was an underdog by +1.0 points and came through with an ATS victory for bettors. The game went OVER the consensus closing total of 67.5.

Ross Comis completed 29 of 44 pass attempts for 540 yards for the Minutemen in the win.

Frankie Hickson rushed for 133 yards for Liberty, while Frank Boyd added 83 yards. Stephen Calvert threw for 272 yards for the Flames, while receivers Antonio Gandy-Golden and Khaleb Coleman had 205 and 23 yards respectively.

Liberty lost the offensive yardage battle to Massachusetts 777-488 yards in Saturday's game. Massachusetts had more first downs as that total ended up 34-31.

The time of possession battle favored Massachusetts as their offense was on the field for 32:21, longer than the 27:39 of their opponents.

Next game, Massachusetts takes its act home to face BYU looking for another win. For Liberty, they head on the road to face Virginia.
