Michigan Defeats Rutgers 42-7 - Recap
Michigan cruised to victory on Saturday, as they ran up a 42-7 score against Rutgers in Week 11 action at High Point Solutions Stadium.
Michigan did not, however, defeat the Scarlet Knights against the spread, which closed at -36.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 44.5.
Chris Evans rushed for 75 yards, while Tru Wilson added 58 yards in the win. Donovan Peoples-Jones and Nico Collins added 83 and 56 receiving yards respectively.
Isaih Pacheco rushed for 142 yards for Rutgers, while Raheem Blackshear added 41 yards. Isaih Pacheco threw for 19 yards for the Scarlet Knights, while receivers Giovanni Rescigno and Shameen Jones had 19 and 16 yards respectively.
Michigan outgained Rutgers 453-252 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 24-11 by the Wolverines.
Michigan led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 33:38-26:22 split in that important category.
Michigan heads into a 12 battle against Indiana. Rutgers, meanwhile, will have their next action against Penn State.
