FIU Golden Panthers vs UTSA Roadrunners Wrap - FIU Wins 45-7

The battle between the Golden Panthers and Roadrunners didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as UTSA was handed a 45-7 defeat on Saturday at Alamodome.

The Golden Panthers were a -10.5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score went OVER the total, which closed at 47.0.

Shawndarrius Phillips rushed for 64 yards, while D'Vonte Price added 36 yards in the win. Austin Maloney and Tony Gaiter IV added 76 and 49 receiving yards respectively.

Brenden Brady rushed for 42 yards for UTSA, while D.J. Gillins added 27 yards. Bryce Rivers threw for 36 yards for the Roadrunners, while receivers Marquez McNair and Tykee Ogle-Kellogg had 48 and 36 yards respectively.

UTSA lost the offensive yardage battle to FIU 453-245 yards in Saturday's game. FIU had more first downs as that total ended up 21-15.

UTSA lost the time of possession battle 33:22-26:38, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, FIU takes its act on the road to face Charlotte looking for another win. For UTSA, they head on the road to face Marshall.
