Cleveland Defeats Washington 30-10 - Recap

The battle between the Browns and Redskins didn't turn out to be much of a battle at all as Washington was handed a 30-10 defeat on Thursday at FirstEnergy Stadium.

Cleveland won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the -1.5-point spread as favorites. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 35.5.

D'Ernest Johnson rushed for 23 yards, while Dontrell Hilliard added 19 yards in the win. Rashard Higgins and D.J. Montgomery added 98 and 47 receiving yards respectively.

Craig Reynolds rushed for 21 yards for Washington, while Byron Marshall added 17 yards. Case Keenum threw for 60 yards for the Redskins, while receivers Darvin Kidsy Jr. and Robert Davis had 86 and 46 yards respectively.

Washington was outgained by Cleveland 417-271 yards in Thursday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 23-12 by the Browns.

The time of possession battle favored Cleveland as their offense was on the field for 30:10, longer than the 29:50 of their opponents.

Cleveland looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Colts. The Redskins will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Cincinnati.
