Recap - Steelers Defeat Kansas City 17-7

The Steelers were Pre-Season Week 2 winners on Saturday, coming out on top of the Chiefs by a score of 17-7 at Heinz Field.

Pittsburgh won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the +3.0-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go UNDER the closing number of 45.5.

James Conner rushed for 28 yards, while Jaylen Samuels added 26 yards in the win. James Washington and Diontae Johnson added 78 and 46 receiving yards respectively.

Darwin Thompson rushed for 30 yards for Kansas City, while Darrel Williams added 25 yards. Chad Henne threw for 96 yards for the Chiefs, while receivers Cody Thompson and Blake Bell had 69 and 33 yards respectively.

Pittsburgh outgained Kansas City 329-315 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 18-17 by the Steelers.

Kansas City lost the time of possession battle 31:24-28:36, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Pittsburgh takes its act on the road to face Tennessee looking for another win. For Kansas City, they head home to face San Francisco.
