Football Team vs Bengals Final: 17-13 - Recap

The Football Team were Pre-Season Week 2 winners on Friday, coming out on top of the Bengals by a score of 17-13 at FedEx Field.

Washington won on the scoreboard, but lost at the pay window as they failed to cover the -5.5-point spread. The game went UNDER the consensus closing total of 34.5.

Jaret Patterson rushed for 71 yards, while Antonio Gibson added 28 yards in the win. Antonio Gandy-Golden and Dyami Brown added 38 and 33 receiving yards respectively.

Jacques Patrick rushed for 42 yards for Cincinnati, while Chris Evans added 35 yards. Kyle Shurmur threw for 23 yards for the Bengals, while receivers Trenton Irwin and Auden Tate had 24 and 23 yards respectively.

Cincinnati lost the offensive yardage battle to Washington 336-214 yards in Friday's game. Washington had more first downs as that total ended up 22-13.

Washington led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:29-25:31 split in that important category.

Washington looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Ravens. The Bengals will aim to get back on the winning track vs. Miami.
