Indianapolis Falls 17-16 to Commanders - Recap

Washington won 17-16 on Sunday against Indianapolis behind a 113-yard receiving performance from Terry McLaurin at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Taylor Heinicke rushed for 29 yards, while Curtis Samuel added 29 yards in the win. Terry McLaurin and Antonio Gibson added 113 and 58 receiving yards respectively.

Jonathan Taylor rushed for 76 yards for Indianapolis, while Parris Campbell added 28 yards. Sam Ehlinger threw for 201 yards for the Colts, while receivers Alec Pierce and Michael Pittman Jr. had 65 and 53 yards respectively.

Washington outgained Indianapolis 362-324 yards in the game, while the battle of first downs was won 20-15 by the Commanders.

Indianapolis lost the time of possession battle 30:40-29:20, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.

Next game, Washington takes its act home to face Minnesota looking for another win. For Indianapolis, they head on the road to face New England.
