The Giants won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -3.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Pierre Strong Jr. rushed for 25 yards for New England, while J.J. Taylor added 16 yards. Bailey Zappe threw for 205 yards for the Patriots, while receivers Kristian Wilkerson and Tre Nixon had 99 and 81 yards respectively.

New England lost the offensive yardage battle to New York 418-308 yards in Thursday's game. New York had more first downs as that total ended up 26-19.

The time of possession battle favored New York as their offense was on the field for 33:59, longer than the 26:01 of their opponents.

New York heads into a Pre-Season Week 2 battle against the Bengals. New England, meanwhile, will have their next action against Carolina.
