New England Defeats Carolina 20-10 - Recap

The Patriots grabbed a Pre-Season Week 2 victory over the Panthers on Friday, winning 20-10 at Gillette Stadium.

J.J. Taylor rushed for 33 yards, while Pierre Strong Jr. added 23 yards in the win. Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Tre Nixon added 71 and 56 receiving yards respectively.

Chuba Hubbard rushed for 22 yards for Carolina, while D'Onta Foreman added 16 yards. P.J. Walker threw for 107 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Derek Wright and Keith Kirkwood had 32 and 31 yards respectively.

Carolina lost the offensive yardage battle to New England 375-192 yards in Friday's game. New England had more first downs as that total ended up 20-15.

New England led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 30:14-29:46 split in that important category.

New England heads into a Pre-Season Week 3 battle against the Raiders. Carolina, meanwhile, will have their next action against Buffalo.
