Carolina Panthers vs New York Giants Wrap - New York Wins 21-19

New York earned a 21-19 victory over Carolina on Friday in Pre-Season Week 2 action at MetLife Stadium.

The Giants won the battle on the scoreboard, but not at the payout window as they failed to cover the -3.0-point spread. OVER bettors were rewarded when the final score pointed to an OVER play.

Tyrod Taylor rushed for 21 yards, while Eric Gray added 16 yards in the win. Isaiah Hodgins and Jalin Hyatt added 45 and 35 receiving yards respectively.

Raheem Blackshear rushed for 31 yards for Carolina, while Chuba Hubbard added 30 yards. Jake Luton threw for 41 yards for the Panthers, while receivers Shi Smith and Josh Vann had 59 and 21 yards respectively.

Carolina lost the offensive yardage battle to New York 290-235 yards in Friday's game. New York had more first downs as that total ended up 17-15.

Carolina led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 31:04-28:56 split in that important category.

Next game, New York takes its act home to face New York looking for another win. For Carolina, they head home to face Detroit.
