Edmonton Falls 4-3 to Flames - Recap

It came down to a shootout and David Rittich foiled the opposition in a 4-3 victory for Calgary over Edmonton Wednesday.

Andrew Mangiapane(2), and Elias Lindholm each scored for the Flames in the victory. Lindholm opened the scoring for Calgary.

David Rittich stopped 31 of 34 Edmonton shots in the victory.

Edmonton got goals from Matt Benning, Kailer Yamamoto, and Alex Chiasson in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Mike Smith stopped 25 of 28 shots for the Oilers, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Calgary went 0-for-1, while the Oilers were 1-for-4 with the man advantage.

Calgary lost the shots on goal battle to Edmonton by a margin of 34-28.

Calgary looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Oilers. The Oilers will aim to get back on the winning track vs. St. Louis.
