Recap - Penguins Defeat Minnesota 4-3

Rickard Rakell scored a pair of goals against the Wild as Pittsburgh handed Minnesota a 4-3 defeat on Thursday at Xcel Energy Center.

Pittsburgh won as a +114 underdog, while Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 6.5 were rewarded at the payout window.

Pittsburgh got goals from Rickard Rakell(2), Evgeni Malkin, and Jake Guentzel in the victory. Rakell opened the scoring at 1:06 of the first period.

Casey DeSmith turned in a 28-save effort for the Penguins.

Minnesota got goals from Matt Dumba, Kirill Kaprizov, and Frederick Gaudreau in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Cam Talbot stopped 35 of 39 shots for the Wild, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Pittsburgh went 1-for-5, while the Wild were 1-for-4 with the man advantage.

Pittsburgh outshot Minnesota 39-31 in the game.

Pittsburgh looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Avalanche. The Wild will aim to get back on the winning track at Carolina.
