Tampa Bay Lightning vs Columbus Blue Jackets Wrap - Columbus Wins 5-2

Columbus skated to a 5-2 victory over Tampa Bay on Thursday in NHL action at Nationwide Arena.

Cole Sillinger, Jakub Voracek, Oliver Bjorkstrand, Jack Roslovic, and Andrew Peeke each scored for the Blue Jackets in the victory. Voracek opened the scoring for Columbus.

Corey Perry, and Nikita Kucherov scored for the Lightning, finding the net behind Elvis Merzlikins.

Brian Elliott stopped 30 of 34 shots for the Lightning, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Columbus went 1-for-4, while the Lightning were 2-for-7 with the man advantage.

Tampa Bay lost the shots on goal battle to Columbus by a margin of 35-27.

Columbus looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Penguins. The Lightning will aim to get back on the winning track at New York.
