Calgary Skates Past Colorado 5-3 - Recap

The Flames earned a 5-3 victory over the Avalanche on Thursday at Scotiabank Saddledome.

Tyler Toffoli, Elias Lindholm, Rasmus Andersson, Dillon Dube, and Brett Ritchie each scored for the Flames in the victory. Ritchie opened the scoring for Calgary.

Colorado got goals from Nathan MacKinnon, Valeri Nichushkin, and Bowen Byram in the loss, but it wasn't enough.

Pavel Francouz stopped 22 of 27 shots for the Avalanche, but it wasn't enough to earn the victory.

On the power play, Calgary went 2-for-5, while the Avalanche were 1-for-4 with the man advantage.

Calgary outshot Colorado 27-25 in the game.

Calgary heads into a battle against the Oilers. Colorado, meanwhile, will have their next action against Minnesota.
