Las Vegas - Anyone know where Appalachian State is? No Google plz. Okay, it's in Boone, North Carolina, which is in the Western part of the state, a few miles from the Tennessee border, and smack in the middle of the gorgeous Blue Ridge Mountains. What's also gorgeous is the Mountaineers 4-1 record as they fly down to Lafayette, Louisiana to take on the Ragin' Cajuns. Shawn Clark took over at App State after Eli Drinkwitz took the Missouri job, and Clark is 14-4 since putting on the headset. In the last outing, State QB Chase Brice completed 20 of 28 for 326 yards, 3 TDs and NO INTs. Can't give the same kind of glowing report for Levi Lewis, the Cajuns QB. Double L was just 9 of 20 for 49 yards in his last outing against South Alabama with a QBR of 37.3. Ouch! This is also a revenge game for Appalachian State after Louisiana squeezed out a 24-21 win at Boone last season. Sure Lafayette is VERY strong on the ground, but App State should be able to handle a one dimensional team. Gimme some of the Mountaineers, but don't bet your limit.

Was thinking about using the Braves with Charlie Morton, but this will be the FIRST TIME this season that Charlie is starting on three days rest. So, nah.
