Las Vegas - Lemme take a guess about the main story line for the Falcons/Patriots game tonight? Maybe, possibly, probably, for sure, Atlanta blowing the YUGE lead in Super Bowl LI against New England. You remember. The Falcs were up 21-3 at halftime, and 28-3 in the 3rd quarter. Then the sky fell. TB12 led his crew to TWENTY FIVE straight points to force OT, then broke every single heart in the ATL with a 34-28 W. Think anyone's gonna mention that? Think that Matt Ryan hasn't heard that 23,642 times? So, how does that impact this game? Well, everyone is salivating over Mac Jones and the rookie QB is everything Bill Belichick thought he would be coming out of Alabama. He has New England sitting just a half game behind the Bills for the top spot in the AFC East. But before you get too jazzed, lets take a look at who the Pats beat. Two wins against the WORST team in the NFL, the New York Jets, a win against Houston, also YUCH, then the Chargers, Panthers and Browns. And last week's 45-7 BLOWOUT against Cleveland came courtesy of a one-armed QB, Baker Mayfield, and a career backup, Case Keenum. So, NO biggie. Back to the Super Bowl and the never ending nightmare for Matty Ice. Even with a win this evening, that horror show on Super Sunday will NEVER go away. But Ryan could get a little bit of revenge. Not predicting an outright win, but +7 does look a little tasty. And maybe, just maybe, Atlanta comes out HOT like they did in the Super Bowl, which is why +3.5 points for the 1st half is worth a few pennies. But, if Cordarrelle Patterson is not on the field for the Falcons, then this selection goes into the hard pass category!
