Las Vegas - Not interested in the early game between Buffalo and Pittsburgh so we're gonna fly down South and check in on the Tampa Bay/Philadelphia game. No doubt that the Eagles are a better team than the Bucs, WHEN HEALTHY. However, in the 'what have you done for me lately' category, GOTTA give the edge to Tampa Bay. The Bucs come in with five wins in their last six games, while the Eagles have lost five of their last six. Tampa has covered four of the last five, while Philly limps in on an OH & SIX spread run. There is no doubt that Jalen Hurts is a better QB than Baker Mayfield, but once again, we direct your attention to 'what have you done for me lately.' Hurts has been off his game the last five weeks, going over 200 yards passing just once, and throwing for just four TDs with 5 INTs. And now, he is dealing with a dislocated middle finger on his right hand, obviously, his throwing hand, which certainly might affect his accuracy. The Baker is also dinged up, with rib and ankle issues, but it has not affected his play. Mayfield has been cooking, or baking if you will, passing for 1,254 yards with 11 TDs and just 2 INTs the last five games. And the Bucs should be able to put points on the board against an Eagles defense that has been ugly since the bye week, giving up an average of 35 points per game. Kinda hard to believe, kinda shocking, but the Eagles gave up more points (428) than anyone in the league except the Cards (455) and Commanders (518). Oh yea, forgot to mention one of the most dynamic pieces on the offensive side of the ball, A.J. Brown. A.J. grabbed NINE passes for 131 yards in the week three win against the Bucs. Sadly, he is OUT! YUGE problem. Gonna say AHOY MATEY, and still planning to sail with the Bucs, but only deploying one skinny sail.
