double dip

Las Vegas - Every matchup on the NBA board tonight has at least one star player missing or injured. In the Raptors/76ers game, Fred VanVleet is doubtful and Joel Embiid is dealing with a torn ligament in his right thumb. In the Suns/Pelicans matchup, Phoenix G Devin Booker is out. And in the Jazz/Mavericks tilt, Utah G Donovan Mitchell is now listed as probable, but he AIN'T close to 100%. TOO many what ifs, so we pass on all three.

Not passing on MLB this afternoon. Heading to the Windy City and using the White Sox with Michael Kopech over the Royals. We've been hearing about Kopech and his 100+ mph heater for a couple of years, and it looks like the rest of the league is starting to hear the buzzzz as well. Kopech does not have a win yet this season (three no-decisions), but he does have a staggering ERA and has more strikeouts than innings pitched (15 Ks, 14 innings). Back to the ERA. He has allowed just one earned run over 14 innings, and that translates to an almost invisible 0.64 ERA. Make it a light play since the Sox still have a ton of injuries.

And if you have a few extra bucks in the bank, try the Braves with Kyle Wright over the Cubs. Wright has been throwing PEAS at the rest of the National League, winning twice and allowing only two earned runs over 17 innings. That's a 1.06 ERA but the number that has my head spinning is the strikeouts. Kyle has 26 Ks in 17 frames and we expect him to push his record to 3-0 tonight against the Cubbies.
