Las Vegas -

Been living in Vegas for 32 years and still have trouble with the time zones...sorry...you shoulda read this before the tennis match started...I'm a DUMMY!!!

Okay, Naomi Osaka destroyed Coco Gauff 6-3, 6-0, then came one of the GREAT displays of sportsWOMENship!!! Coco was crying, Naomi comforted her, then asked her to stay on court for the post-match interview. Then Osaka starts with the eye-raindrops. No doubt that Naomi was LASER-focused for this match and wanted the W, BAD. And that was just the round of 32. Now Osaka (-$220) catches the talented Belinda Bencic (+$180) in the round of 16, and it AIN'T gonna be easy. Bencic leads the head-to-head, 3-1, and, is a tasty underdog. Her only loss to Osaka was on clay five years ago. Belinda owns the hard courts against Naomi, winning this year at Indian Wells, 6-3, 6-1, and last year at the Hopman Cup, 7-5, 6-3. Bencic also had a walk-over against Anett Kontaveit in the round of 32, so will be fresh and ready to rock.

Notre Dame steps into the 2019 wars with a #9 ranking and as a gigantic 18.5 point favorite, AT Louisville. So, what do you make of a team that goes 12-0, makes the playoffs, then gets SMOTHERED by Clemson, 30-3? Basically, the Fighting Irish eat cupcakes and CHOKE on prime rib. After dropping off the face of the earth with a 2-10 ugly last season, the 'Ville fired Bobby Petrino and hired Scott Satterfield. Double S was 4-8 in his first season in Boone, North Carolina with the Mountaineers, then posted a 7-5, an 11-2, a 10-2, a 9-4 and another 11-2 last year. Not sure about pushing all my chips in, but if the line jumps to -19 or -20, then we're gonna bark with the dog.
