Las Vegas - After squeezing out a 9-8 record, then losing to the 49ers in the playoffs, the Seahawks have started 2023 with two solid wins in the first three games. After an opening stinker against the Rams (13-30), they beat the Lions 37-31 and the Panthers 37-17. And the reason is, Geno Smith. Against a very good Detroit team, Smith was 32 of 41 (78%) for 328 yards. Then Geno hit on 23 of 36 (64%) for 296 yards against the Panthers. Expecting more of the same against the New York defense that has allowed an average of almost 33 points per game. Daniel Jones had some pretty solid numbers against Arizona (26 of 37 for 321 yards), a lousy team, but against the cream of the NFL crop, he struggles. He was truly ugly in the opener against the Cowboys (15 of 28 for only 104 yards) and not much better against the 49ers (22 of 32 for 137 yards). And without Saquon Barkley, the New Yorkers have virtually NO running game. Unless you consider 29 yards against the Niners last week a running game. My heart is ALWAYS in New York but my wallet is loving Seattle.

For your wagering pleasure, here are your spread stats of the day. The New York Giants finished up last season as one of the spread darlings, covering 12 of the last 16. However, sadly, the NYG kicked off the 2023 campaign with a negative (0-3) hat trick.
