high ankle sprain

Las Vegas - Throw out all the stats and focus on the REAL KEY to the Chiefs/Bengals game. The ankle of Patrick Mahomes. As everyone knows, Mahomes suffered a high ankle sprain last week against Jacksonville. Of course, we had to get some heavy duty medical advice, and went right to the prestigious Cedars Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute to find out about high ankles. Dr. Rachel Triche tells us that recovery timelines for a high ankle sprain vary greatly from athlete to athlete. In some cases, an athlete can return to the sport in FOUR to SIX weeks. Patrick returned in TWENTY MINUTES! Not sure what kind of tape they used, or what type of medicine, but he was able to hobble around for most of the second half. Everyone knows that Mahomes' game is based on movement and escapability, and if he is hobbling, that's a YUGE problem. Dr. Triche said the treatment for high ankle sprains is a thing called R.I.C.E. Rest, ice, compression and elevation. We would add an S to that for the SECRET SAUCE he had in the locker room. You can look at all the football numbers, and we did, but the game comes down to an ankle. We've all seen the video where Patrick is high-steppin' on the practice field, and looks to be fine, but C'MON. Not saying they faked the video, or it was from weeks ago, but it did move the spread. Cincy was favored by 1.5 points in the middle of the week, and the influx of Kaycee money has moved the line back to Chiefs -1.5. Speaking of the spread, the Bengals have been MONEY, covering nine of the last 11 and 14 of the last 17. Does NOT get any better! On the other side of the field, Kansas City has covered only two of the last seven. We were shocked last week at how Cincy's O-Line held up against a tough Buffalo defense, and are expecting more of the same tonight. Maybe Patrick is a medical miracle and will be able to dance like it was 1999, but my wallet is all about the Burreaux!

And what would a championship game be without a few prop bets. Gimme Over 9.5 yards on Joe Burrow's longest rush, and gimme over 47.5 total rushing yards from Isiah Pacheco.

If you were not sitting at the Ecks & Bacon table yesterday, we have a small play to the Iggles and gonna BANG a delicious prop really hard. Taking 49ers kicker Robbie Gould to go OVER 1.5 field goals made. Why? He has NEVER EVER missed a FG in a playoff game (29 for 29) and threw down a 4 FOR 4 PERFECTO last week against the Cowboys. MONEY!!!
