Las Vegas - Starting out in Spain this afternoon, and gonna rock Barcelona over Napoli in the second leg of the round of 16. The first leg was played in Italy, and it was a 1-1 final, with Luis Suarez missing out with injury. Suarez is available to return to the front line featuring Antoine Griezmann and the GREAT Lionel Messi in attack. That's enough of a reason to open the wallet, but you want more? Check this out, but PLZ sit down, because you might fall over. Barca is unbeaten in their last 35 UEFA Champions League matches at home, while they have not lost in any of their last 15 home fixtures against Italian opposition, with TWELVE WINS and 3 draws.

Over in Germany, we'll rock Bayern Munich over Chelsea. The Blues from London come limping into this second leg with MAJOR injury problems. Christian Pulisic, Cesar Azpilicueta, Pedro, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Billy Gilmour are all out, while Marcos Alonso and Jorginho are suspended. Willian and N'Golo Kante are doubtful, and Chelsea manager Frank Lampard might need to call David Beckham for emergency duty. The price is steep, but when you realize that Bayern has won 17 games in a row in all competitions, that's SEVENTEEN, gotta drop a handful of Euros on the Bavarians from Munich!

When you come back to the USA after the soccer matches, c'mon down to Washington with me and try the Nationals with Austin Voth.

YUGE race today at Saratoga, and my guy, Martin Calia is ON IT...

Talk to us Marty...

A couple of years ago after the 10th race at Saratoga, my buddy Mike and I ran into Barclay Tagg. He was such a gentleman as he answered all our questions. He has always been one of my favorite trainers, especially in grass races. Why mention this tidbit of information ? Well, he happens to train the even money favorite, Tiz the Law, in today's Travers Stakes. So lets talk about Tiz the Law. He owns three G1 wins, has two triple digit Beyer speed ratings, and he sits atop the list for Kentucky Derby points (272). No other runner in this field has a G1 win or a triple digit Beyer. Tagg would have had this horse ready in May to win the Derby, but like everything else in this pandemic year, plans had to change. He is by far the best horse in training. Maybe Art Collector, who runs Sunday in the Ellis Park Derby might give him a tussle, but that has yet to be seen. I'm not saying this will be a cakewalk. Bob Baffert sends undefeated Uncle Chuck in from California because he needs the points (20) to be eligible. He sits at number 22 on the list. But Uncle Chuck has only raced twice and he beat a four horse field and a five horse field. Chad Brown saddles Peter Pan winner Country Grammer who edged Caracaro. The latter needs the valuable derby points too. Max Player and South Bend are the deep closers, so if the race falls apart on the front end they could be flying late to pick up the pieces. Unless something happens as he leaves the gate this race will be won by Tiz the Law. The bet is a big FAT Benjamin on #6 Tiz the Law and we will play a $20 exacta wheel #6 with all.
