Las Vegas - Wonder why the bookmakers LOVE, LOVE, LOVE parlays. Here's why. Our friend Alfonso Straffon tells us that parlays have accounted for 20.5% of the $16.6 billion cumulative handle in New Jersey since betting opened up. And 47.0% of the aggregate, which turned into $1.1 billion in revenue. That is a 15.4% hold, or money won. Everything else has held ONLY 4.5%. And that's the reason why we only do parlays on Christmas and Easter!

And if you can't wait till February, we can tell you that the AFC is the favorite for the Super Bowl on the money line at -$130, with the NFC at +$110. If you like totals, how about an Over/Under of 53.5 points.

On the MLB board, gonna roll with the White Sox in the game that Lance Lynn pitches. It should be the first game of the double dip, and it should be against Griffin Jax. Lynn has faced the Twins three times this season, allowing just three earned runs over 17 innings for a 1.59 ERA. Jax has started once for the Twinkies, and was gouged for 8 hits and 6 earned in just 5 innings. YUGE OUCH! If they change the pitching matchups, and Lynn faces Jose Berrios, we would lighten the wager, but still play the Sox.
