Las Vegas - Just like the old days, Roses & Sugar on New Year's Day. Kick it off in Pasadena at the Rose Bowl with Michigan a -1.5 point favorite over Alabama. Got stats and trends pulling me in both directions. Michigan comes in with a 13-0 straight up perfecto and 25-1 the last two years. The Wolverines come in with one of the best defenses in the country, but really, WHO have they played. The only team with a top shelf offense was Ohio State and Michigan gave the Buckeyes 24 points. Alabama's offense is WAY more talented than EVERY single member of the Big 10 with the exception of O-State. In their last four bowl games against the SEC, the Wolves gave up 26 points to South Carolina in 2017, 41 points to Florida in 2018, 35 points to the Crimson Tide in 2019 and 34 points to Georgia in 2021. So, we're guessing that the Tide should be good for at least 25/30 points. The Wolverines can also put points on the board in bunches, and have averaged 36+ points per game this season. So, gonna pass on picking a winner and make money on the Over/Under total. And we're going OVER 45.0 baabbbeee!

Now we stroll down to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl with Texas -4 points over Washington. Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns have had a magnificent year, winning 12 of 13 including a W against Alabama. QB Quinn Ewers has been exceptional this season, completing 248 of 351 (70.7%) for 3,161 yards, with 21 TDs and 6 INTs. Well done Quinn. However, the left arm of Michael Penix on the Washington side has been, well, almost HISTORIC! Penix hit on 307 of 466 (65.9%) for 4,218 yards, with 33 TDs and 9 INTs. And if you wanna add in last season, Penix has thrown SIXTY SEVEN TDs. The main reason is the beasts up front who won the Joe Moore Award as the nation's BEST offensive line. The 'Horns have an impressive defensive line, but they have not seen a passing attack like the Huskies. Yes this IS a revenge game for Texas after losing last year to Washington, 27-20, in the Alamo Bowl, and the 'Horns might squeeze out a W, but at PLUS FOUR, gotta get me some husky Husky action!

And to all my millions, PLZ enjoy a HAPPY, HEALTHY & PROFITABLE New Year!!!
