Las Vegas - Get out your clubs because we're heading to Florida for The Match: Champions for Charity. It'll be Tiger and Peyton Manning vs. Phil and Tom Brady. Of course, we've done the required research and found out that Peyton has a 6.4 handicap according to the USGA. Also found Manning's last five scores at his home course, the Cherry Hills Country Club in Denver, were 83-88-82-86-84. TB 12 plays out of the The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts where his handicap is listed at 8.1. Tommy Terrific's last five clocked in at 96-86-93-83-85.
Gonna jump on the Tiger train and drop a few chips on him and Manning to win for a few reasons. This IS Tiger's home course, so gotta give him some love. If their handicaps are a barometer, Peyton is almost two strokes better than Brady. And finally, REVENGE for Tiger after losing The Match to Mickelson in Vegas back in 2018.
There are literally hundreds of props available, and here are a few we like. Gonna get down on Tiger/Peyton to lead after nine holes. Gonna drop a few chips on Tiger to have the longest tee shot on the 3rd hole. And on the 5th hole, where each player can use only ONE club, Tiger is the way to go. Someone told me that Woods did a similar challenge at a skins game in Japan, and killed it with a 4 iron. And of course, there's a prop for that one-club challenge. What club will Tiger use on the 5th hole? A 6 iron or lower is the favorite, and we're ALL OVER IT!!!
Maybe my favorite is a Yes/No prop on anyone of the four saying OMAHA. No is -$180 vs. Yes at +$140. Gimme a WHOLE bunch of YES, because you know that either Phil or Brady will be looking to bust some chops. Also like Over 1.5 on how many commercials Peyton Manning will be in during the broadcast.
