Las Vegas - Toronto was thinking that Steven Matz was gonna be the answer to the thin starting rotation, and for the first four games, it sure looked that way. Matz won his first four decisions and put up some pretty snazzy numbers. But the last two starts, well, you know the word, UGLIFIED. Apparently, the American League has caught up to Matz because he has been SAVAGED for 15 hits and 11 earned runs in his last 8.2 innings of work. My calculator tells me that's an ERA of around 11.42. Did I say ELEVEN POINT FOUR TWO? YIKES! Now take a look at Houston's Cristian Javier and the story is quite different. Javier is still perfect at 3-0, but that's not the whole story. His overall 1.75 ERA is sweet enough, but when it comes to home cooking, it's ALL BAGELS! He has thrown 17 innings at Minute Maid Park in 2021 and allowed a grand total of ZERO RUNS! ZERO, NADA, NOTHING! All over the 'Stros and you can BOOK IT!!!

And if you need another taste, we're gonna hit the app for St. Loo over Colorado, but only if Carlos (Tsunami) Martinez pitches for the Cards.
