Las Vegas - A little afternoon MLB action and we're looking at the Twins with Dylan Bundy over the White Sox. Looks like the change of scenery has been a real plus for Bundy. After a lackluster 2-9 record with the Angels last season, okay, call it UGLIFIED, Dylan is rocking the party in Minny. He has started twice, won both, and allowed just one teeny tiny earned run in 10 innings which works out to a 0.90 ERA.

Las Vegas - Since winning the Cy Young Award in 2019, Justin Verlander has pitched a total of six innings the last two years. He had Tommy John surgery in 2020 and missed all of the 2021 season. So, obviously, he is a question mark entering the 2022 campaign. Well, you can delete the question mark because Verlander looked like, well, Verlander in his first two starts. In his first outing against the Angels, he went 5 innings, threw 80 pitches, allowed 3 hits and 1 earned run.

Las Vegas - Watched the first episode of 'Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty' and will have my review when I'm done with the entire show. But right now, how about the odds for the next Lakers coach. Mark Jackson is listed as the favorite at around 6/5, followed by David Fizdale at 9/2. Think Doc Rivers is gonna come back to L.A? The odds are 6/1. Nick Nurse is also 6/1, with Terry Stotts and Mike Brown both at 8/1.

Las Vegas - Looking out West again tonight and taking the Mariners over the Rangers. Sure Texas threw hundreds of millions at a few key players like Corey Seager ($325 million over 10 years) and Marcus Semien ($175 million over 7 years). That's HALF A BILLION BUCKS for just two players, offensive guys, but the pitching is still suspect. Dane Dunning gets the start this evening for the Rangers and he has not impressed anyone.

Las Vegas - Looks like the Pirates are a much better team than last season, but they're still gonna have problems dealing with Corbin Burnes. Last year, Burnes won the Cy Young with an 11-5 record and a 2.43 ERA. But the stat that really jumped off the page was his walks to strikeouts ratio. He gifted the opposition 34 BBs and posted 234 Ks. Very hard to wrap my head around those STAGGERING numbers, but very easy to throw some cash at Burnes. Brew Crew for the money.
