Las Vegas - Miami wins the game when Miami wins the 1st quarter. Check it out. On Wednesday night, the Heat and Nuggets were tied at 24-24 at the end of the 1st Q. Miami lost. In game two, the Heat won the 1st Q 26-23 and won the game. In the opening game, the Heat lost the 1st Q 29-20, and guess what, lost the game. In game seven against the Celtics, the Heat won the 1st Q 103-84 and sent Boston to the golf course.

Las Vegas - Skating down to Florida where the temps are perfect for hockey, like 80+ degrees, and taking a look at some first period action. If the Panthers are ever gonna get rolling, it MUST be the first period of game three. They'll have the home crowd going ballistic and if they can't set the tone early, it'll be a long night at the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise. So, the Panthers are a small favorite to win the 1st period at around -$120. We're taking a taste.

West with a gorgeous 39-20 record. With the Astros in the same division, it's definitely a surprise. But the SHOCKER is St. Louis, sitting at the bottom of the N.L. Central with a 25-35 record. Las Vegas - Gonna stay away from the ice tonight and roll down to Miami for a taste of the Marlins. You're probably not gonna believe this, but Miami is sitting in 2nd place in the N.L. East, just three games behind the Braves. And, in line for a Wild Card. Shocking right. Skip Schumaker replaced Don Mattingly this season and he is pressing all the right buttons. One of those buttons is sending Braxton Garrett to the mound. Despite an 0-2 record, Garrett is throwing some serious stuff.
